This is outrageous and Maine people shouldn’t stand for it. To have an outside group, no matter who it is, drop $300,000 into a Maine gubernatorial race to attack one candidate, six days before an election, is unprecedented and exactly what people hate about politics.

(Sanford, Maine) – In response to the Mills campaign releasing a television ad attacking Adam’s party registration 18 years ago as a 26-year old, the Cote campaign swapped out the previous version of his gun safety ad it had chosen to run called “Lockdown” for one highlighting the fact that Janet Mills received the NRA’s endorsement three times and earned either an A or A+ rating from the group during all four of her terms in the legislature between 2002 and 2010.
